From Las Vegas Airport Space is limited. This is JUST AN EXAMPLE, Just to give you an idea. A real one will be sent to you upon Signing up!
Day 1- Wednesday Night Meet at the Las Vegas Airport 2 hours prior to flight departure. Flight departs 10:10 PM (This is a night flight) We will fly to Florida, change planes and from there it is less than 2 hrs to Haiti. Once we land we will drive about 3-4 hours depending on traffic to Jacmel. We will be staying in a beautiful home overlooking the sea. We will have a pool as well.
Day 2- Thursday Land In Haiti. Drive to Jacmel. Meet the children at the Sunshine Home and eat lunch. Go to the Market where you can purchase drinks/snacks. Back to where we are staying to relax, unpack and prepare for tomorrow.
Day 3- Friday 7:00 A.M Breakfast Leave at 7:45 to start building a home and play with children in the area. Bring water balloons, water sponges and games. We will take a break and eat lunch. Take snacks. After building we will head to the Cove to Swim (bring or wear swimsuits) You can also purchase souvenirs here, swim in the Hotel Pool, and we will eat dinner here.
Day 4- Saturday 7:00 A.M Breakfast and leave 7:30 to build the house. Take lots of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch and snacks. Also, take Arts and crafts to do with children in the area. Take Swimsuits after we will go to the beach to swim and eat dinner. On our way back to where we are staying we will stop and play with the children at the Sunshine Home.
Day 5- Sunday 7:30 Breakfast Leave 8:00 to finish building the home. Have van pick up rice and beans. We will have each family in our program pick up their Rice and beans (if money is raised) at the home we are building. We will take a lunch break at The Sunshine Home. We will also set up centers for them. Kitchen play, puppets, and baby dolls. Then if needed more work on the home. Then back to the house we are staying at to get ready for Our Pool party with the children from The Sunshine Home. Food, games like pin the tail on the donkey etc.
Day 6- If the home is completed this is the plan, if not then we will work on the home first. Breakfast 8:30 Leave 9:00 for Bassen Blue. A beautiful small hike and waterfall. On our way back we will say Good Bye to the children at the sunshine home. Then back to where we are staying to relax and pack up.
Day 7 – Tuesday Leave at 4:00 A.M. for the airport. We will land in Florida go through customs and have a lay over. Then we fly back to Las Vegas.
Cost: $1500 with airfare.
There is a $600 non refundable deposit when reserving your spot. Space is limited. $600 will be deducted from your $1500. If you have to cancel for any reason your $600 deposit will not be refunded.
You need a passport
Trip includes: Airfare, In country lodging, transportation, activities, In country Breakfast, Lunch and dinner, Translators, Guides, and lots of fun!
Trip does not include: Spending money, Passport fees, $10 entry fee to enter the country, Snacks (bring snacks, you will need them), Drinks (bring a good water bottle that purifies the water such as lifestraw) There is bottle water, Soda, Juice etc. you can purchase as well. Bring protein powder, Oatmeal, or something you can eat in between meals. If you drink coffee bring instant coffee.
Each volunteer packs 1 bag checked full of donation. A big duffel bag is best, 50 pounds full of donations from the list. You will also have one carry on bag for personal things and a backpack. Each volunteer has one bag returning.
You are responsible to get yourself to and from the Las Vegas Airport.

Before a trip we ask all volunteers to try and collect money for Rice and Beans. Then on the trip you get to provide for those with no food. A big bag of Rice and beans is about $60 which typically will feed a family for one month.
